COSMIC Leadership Nominations Open

COSMIC participants currently have the opportunity to nominate individuals from the ISAM community to help guide the direction of the Consortium over the next year. Currently, there are seats open for both the Steering Committee and Caucus Chairs with Academia, Industry, and Government.
We encourage members to take advantage of this opportunity for networking and leadership within this exciting venture.
Caucus Chair Roles and Responsibilities – Seats available: Three (Academia, Industry, and Government)
- 1 year term
- Collaborating with Caucus facilitators to create quarterly meeting agendas
- Leading caucus meeting discussions including at in-person general membership meetings
- Identifying issues and making recommendations to the Steering Committee, other Caucuses and the Focus Areas
Steering Committee Roles and Responsibilities – Seats available: Four (1 Academia, 2 Industry, 1 Civil Space)
- 2-year term
- Providing feedback and recommendations to the Consortium Management Entity on the management and direction of COSMIC
- Reviewing product proposals
- Reviewing the COSMIC Operation Procedure
- Assessing the state of ISAM and COSMIC’s performance
- Attending quarterly Steering Committee meetings
Eligibility Requirements
- COSMIC participant in good standing
- Not currently serving in another elected position within COSMIC at the start of the term
- Willingness and ability to commit to a full term
- (For Civil Space) Be a federal employee
Candidates will be asked to submit a written introduction and provide a brief verbal or video statement at Convergence in June.
Timeline
- Nominations are open now until May 2nd
- Voting will commence on June 4th in-person at Convergence and online
- Voting will conclude on June 11th
- Ranked Choice Voting will be used to tally the votes, and the results will be announced late-June
