Maj Abigail “Abby” Sutton leads the Space Access, Mobility and Logistics (SAML) Branch within the Architecture, Science and Technology Directorate, SAF/SQ. Maj Sutton and her team support the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space Acquisition and Integration and are responsible for integrating future mission area capability architectures and priorities across the Department of the Air Force.

Maj Sutton received her commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies in 2011. Her past duty assignments include positions in Command, Control, Communications, Intelligence and Cyber Infrastructure, National Security Space Launch, and organizational transformation. Maj Sutton transitioned into the Air Force Reserves in 2019.  Upon completing an internship with industry, she began supporting SAF/SP as a Launch/Spacelift system matter expert in 2020 and soon became the SAML Mission Area Team Lead. Following the standup of SAF/SQ, Maj Sutton assumed her current role supporting the Service Acquisition Executive (SAE) for space systems and programs.
