COSMIC Capstone Challenge April Showcase
The COSMIC Workforce Development Focus Area has worked hard running the COSMIC Capstone Challenge (C3) over the last year. C3 has engaged 233 students from around the country as part of 35 teams mentored by 28 ISAM COSMIC leaders.
The challenge asked students to design an autonomous ISAM payload based on the constraints of the Blue Canyon Technologies X-Sat Venus Class bus.
The C3 April Showcase will be held April 14-16.
Interested individuals can register to watch the presentations via zoom.
Convergence Registration Now Open
We’re excited to host Convergence 2025 themed “Space: Some Assembly Required” June 4-5 in Los Angeles, conveniently located next to LAX.
Convergence 2025 is the annual COSMIC in-person general membership working meeting which brings together our diverse forum of ISAM users, developers, regulators, and researchers to accelerate the widespread adoption of these capabilities in space enterprise architectures.
Engagement opportunities include:
- ISAM presentations and expert discussion panels
- Participation in Focus Area breakout workgroups
- Caucus meetings for Industry, Government, and Academia
- Numerous networking breaks
- Welcome evening social event
While Convergence will be a hybrid event, only the single-track programming on the first day will be available online.

The Workforce Development Focus Area will host an office hours discussing development of an ISAM Minicourse on Thursday, April 10th at 2pm ET / 11am PT. instead of their regular meeting.
The Policy & Regulation Focus Area meeting will be held on Thursday, April 17th at 2pm ET / 11am PT.
The Research & Technology Focus Area meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd at 1pm ET / 10am PT.
The Missions & Ecosystems Focus Area meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 2pm ET / 11am PT.
The Demonstration Infrastructure Focus Area meeting will be held on Thursday, April 24th at 2pm ET / 11am PT.

Featured: 2025 COSMIC Convergence
The 2025 COSMIC Convergence will be hosted June 4-5 in Los Angeles, California and feature two days of ISAM education and collaboration. Building upon the progress of COSMIC’s first year, this in-person members meeting will allow participants to dive deeper into the potential and needs of the emerging in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing domestic sector.
