Convergence Registration Now Open
COSMIC is proud to open registration for Convergence 2025 themed “Space: Some Assembly Required.”
Convergence 2025 is the second annual COSMIC in-person general membership meeting where we will bring together a diverse forum of users, customers, developers, regulators, and researchers to accelerate the widespread adoption of ISAM capabilities in space enterprise architectures.
Engagement opportunities include:
- ISAM “Flash Talks” and expert discussion panels
- Participation in Focus Area working group sessions
- Caucus retreats for Industry, Government, and Academia
- Numerous networking breaks
- Welcome evening social event
While Convergence will be a hybrid event, only the the single-track programming on the first day will be available online.
Convergence is only open to COSMIC members. If you are interested in attending, find out how to join COSMIC and submit your membership application.

ISAM Standards Pending Review
The AIAA On-Orbit Servicing and Assembly Committee on Standards recently announced a review and comment period on two draft standards. The first is pertaining to Rendezvous and Proximity Operations (RPO) and On Orbit Servicing (OOS) and the second is regarding Prepared Free-Flyer Capture and Release.
More information and the drafts are hosted on the COSMIC Collaboration SharePoint frontpage under “Announcements.” Input must be submitted no later than April 14th, 2025.
Register for the COSMIC Capstone Challenge April Showcase
The COSMIC Workforce Development Focus Area has worked hard over the last year running the COSMIC Capstone Challenge (C3), engaging 233 students from around the country as part of 35 teams mentored by 28 ISAM leaders, to design a payload to be hosted about the BCT X-Sat Venus Class bus, that will demonstrate a chain of three or more operations that provide an on-orbit, autonomous ISAM capability.
The C3 April Showcase will be held April 14-16.

The 2025 COSMIC Convergence will be hosted June 4-5 in Los Angeles, California and feature two days of ISAM education and collaboration. Building upon the progress of COSMIC’s first year, this in-person event will allow participants to dive deeper into the potential and needs of the emerging in-space servicing, assembly, and manufacturing domestic sector.
